I’ve always had such an “I don’t give a shit, it’s just a holiday” attitude about it, but it was different yesterday. I guess it changes as you get older and are more aware of your singleness.
Guys suck.
Number of fucks I give: 0
fitz & the tantrums - l.o.v.
hop on this train now, they’re going to be huge.
What she said. I hadn’t heard of these guys until they announced a show at Metro, where I intern. Didn’t really give them a listen, but then they performed at JBTV, where I also work.
Saw them perform and my mind. was. blown. They’re like an indie soul. So tasty. Give them a listen.
Watching The Big Lebowski before class.
This movie rules.
Monday night was two parter.
First half: Hit up Schubas to see The Heyday. It was kind of a weird set up. There were chairs and whatnot. The boys put on an awesome set. Please check them out: http://www.facebook.com/theheyday
Because of the snow, they planned on staying in the city until Thursday (tomorrow), but the snow is keeping us from hanging. Lame.
Second half: Went over to Debonair, this hipster bar in Wicker Park.I ran into Ronny, Jordan, and Antony in line. It was my first time there. Antony said it would be disappointing. It was. Like I posted before, clubs are not my thing at all. The only thing that made it worth it was the friends who were there, so thank you, Betina, Brad, Colin, Ronny, Antony, & Davey. Jason stopped by too, which was weird, especially since I didn’t have time to change after work and I had a LBC t-shirt on.
They got a reserved table and they were given free vodka. Not mad at that. Oh, I also ended up dancing with some rando who later tried to make out with me. He got denied. Sorry, bro.
I gotta say that was one of the more awkward events of my life.
