Anti-Flag, the Swellers, Hostage Calm, Worship This, & World’s Scariest Police Chases are playing Beat Kitchen at the end of May.
Beat Kitchen.
Less than 300 capacity room.
Are you seeing this line up?
Nice knowing you all.
this was our bar tab the other night.
let’s just say that there should have been about 15 drinks and 4 shots total on there. somehow we each magically only owed eight bucks.
It’s because Matt’s the best bartender ever.
Yesterday, Adrianna convinced me to come out to see the Blackout Diaries at the Lincoln Lodge. Since Just For Laughs is going on, I figured it’d be a pretty good line up. Didn’t know how good it was til I got there. Hannibal Buress, Kyle Kinane, and Matt Braunger. Last minute decisions are pretty great sometimes. Met Matt after the show. Nice dude.
Just For Laughs is the greatest.
Just bought my ticket for Kyle Kinane on Tuesday. I’m going to die.
I don’t have enough money for the Pete Holmes/Brian Posehn show on Wednesday, but if I get a decent enough paycheck then and there are still tickets left, I’ll buy one. Otherwise, I’ll just see Pete at the You Made It Weird taping on Saturday.
I can’t even handle this.

Last night was amazing.
It was my second time seeing Young Statues. Caught them on tour with A Great Big Pile of Leaves a month or so ago. This time I was a little more familiar with their stuff. So good.
Next up were the Swellers. I think I’ve missed them once or twice in Chicago over the past three years. They’re amazing. Crowd was kind of weak during their set, but they always bring it.
I’ve seen the Wonder Years once or twice at Warped Tour, but never at a real show. I never really got into their stuff either, but I never thought they were bad. Their set changed my mind though. Holy shit, they brought it. Everyone lost their goddamn minds. I wouldn’t mind seeing them again after that.
The crowd kinda cleared before The Early November, for whatever reason, but the room filled up again after they started. I was not disappointed at all. It was only my second time seeing them, but I’ve been a fan for years. I had a smile on my face the entire time. It was the best.
Went to Pick Me Up with Kyle; Carmen, Dan, and Matt from Young Statues; Jono from the Swellers; and Rodrigo from Saves the Day. Chris from Fireworks was there too. PMU was bumpin’.
Still on a concert high. Haven’t felt one of those in a while (not a really good one anyway).
I love this city.
